Would you believe that the Microsoft Search Engine Bing has been copying search results from a competitor? It hardly seems believable that the search engine of software giant Microsoft could be tapping search results from Google in order to improve its own. After Google officials became suspicious of Bing’s tactics they set up a trap to catch Bing in December 2010. Google made up a special decoy or “honeypot page” for an unusual search. They linked the page to the particular search even though the results were not relevant. Then Google employees searched the term using IE Browser from December 17th to December 31st.  The suspected tactic was that there was code in either IE Browser or Bing Toolbar which would return Google search data to Microsoft.
