We are a friendly church in Marseilles, Illinois. Marseilles is located just beyond the far western suburbs of Chicago. We strive for
compassionate Christian ministry to our Church Family as well as the needy in the community. Dedicated to a solid uncompromising understanding of the truth of God's Word we strive at knowing and reaching our neighbors with
God's love. We are affiliated with the Church of God, Anderson, Indiana.
Our congregation is coming to an understanding of how change is important to taking God's love to this current generation. There are many things that cannot change about the message of Jesus Christ and many things about the method of getting that message out that can change. God's loving call to compassionate ministry demands that we change to meet the needs of the current generation. First Church of God is growing in its understanding or worship and how that is a loving offering of praise to God. We are growing in our awareness of how we can hear from God as how to establish His plan for our lives and for our community. We have an emergent sense of calling and responsibility to be the hands and feet of God in caring for the hurting and needy of the community.
One undeniable fact is that a living growing congregation of God's people must always be growing, developing and emerging into something more. What God has created to live does not stay static; but grows. So if you are interested in growing to become the servant of God that He created you to be; then come and spend some time with us.
